More often than not, when I get together with my girlfriends, the conversation revolves around men—who they’re dating, who they’re looking for, who they’ve just met, who they’ve broken up with.
And while love is beautiful, I often wonder what our lives would look like if we direct all that energy into prioritizing God first and trusting that He will bring the right one into our lives.
But beyond that, can we expand our conversations? What else is enriching our lives? Are we reading a powerful book? Learning something new? Have a new business idea? Experiencing moments of peace in meditation or yoga?
Can we center our conversations around personal growth, purpose, charity, God—not just relationships? Because the love we cultivate within ourselves and with God will always be the foundation for everything else.
While I’m addressing my beautiful ladies here, this message applies just as much to men. I’m speaking from my own personal experience however, which is why I’m leading with the ladies.
