In our latest Convo of Thee Ultimate Love Letter podcast, I share a touching conversation I had with a beautiful soul—someone who identifies as an atheist, yet was clearly reaching for something greater than himself.
As we talked, I could feel it: God was all over him.
He spoke honestly about being turned off by religion—about being told he’d go to hell if he didn’t believe in God. And it made me pause. How many people have been pushed away from faith not because of God, but because of the way we present Him. Because of fear-based messages, judgement, and shame?
This Convo is not about convincing. It’s about compassion. About seeing beyond labels like “atheist” or “agnostic,” and choosing instead to reflect the love of God.
Jesus met people where they were, and He loved them into transformation, can we do the same?
This is a call to all believers: Don’t shrink away from conversations that challenge you. Don’t judge. Ask God what seed you’re meant to plant. Because sometimes, a single act of kindness is all it takes to open a heart to the kingdom.
